# Code Orange Strategy Report

Updated: 2026-06-16

## North Star

Code Orange should become the most credible Bitcoin technical education pipeline in Southeast Asia: a place where curious bitcoiners become self-sovereign operators, developers become public contributors, and local leaders can reuse the curriculum to run workshops in their own cities.

The website should make that strategy obvious within one minute.

## What Code Orange Is

Code Orange is not a generic coding bootcamp and not a crypto community. It is a Bitcoin-only training system with four connected layers:

1. Community entry - free Discord sessions, meetups, reading groups, and beginner workshops.
2. Technical training - rawBit, Bitcoin Privacy Track, OpenClaw, Sovereign Bitcoiner, and hands-on hardware workshops.
3. Public contribution - GitHub-first curriculum, PR tracking, developer profiles, impact reporting, and protocol practice repositories.
4. Sustainability - fellowships, grants, donations, consulting, and train-the-trainer programs.

## Audience Strategy

Students need clarity:
- Which program should I join?
- What level do I need?
- What will I be able to do afterward?

Funders need proof:
- How many people are trained?
- What do graduates contribute?
- Where can public proof be inspected?

Developers need trust:
- Is this serious Bitcoin work?
- Are there real repos, real maintainers, and real contribution paths?
- Can I build reputation here?

Local hosts need confidence:
- Can I run a workshop in my city?
- Are slides and assets available?
- Will Code Orange help promote and support it?

Consulting customers need calm:
- Can someone help me secure my Bitcoin without taking control?
- What does $100 buy?
- Can I book directly?

## GitHub Strategy

The public GitHub account currently shows 26 repositories: 21 source repos and 5 forks. This is a major credibility asset and should be treated as the public operating layer of the school.

Priority GitHub surfaces:
- PR-tracking-dashboard - public contribution proof.
- curriculum - reusable education materials.
- dev-community - public builder profiles.
- impact-report - funder and partner proof.
- fellowships - funding pipeline for contributors and educators.
- grad-pipeline - next-step system for graduates.
- workshops - reusable workshop assets.
- bitcoin-island - local Bali/Indonesia community surface.
- seed-phrase-backup-sheet and address-generator - small practical learning tools.
- rust-bitcoin, bdk, lnd, lightning, btcd - protocol practice surfaces and ecosystem orientation.

GitHub hygiene recommendations:
- Add descriptions to repos that currently have none.
- Pin the six most strategic repos on the GitHub profile.
- Add clear READMEs to curriculum, impact-report, PR-tracking-dashboard, fellowships, and grad-pipeline.
- Add labels such as good-first-issue, student-ready, workshop-asset, curriculum, privacy, lightning, and node-running.
- Keep a monthly changelog in impact-report.

## Website Strategy

The site should answer four questions fast:

1. What is Code Orange?
A Bitcoin-only developer and sovereignty school based in Bali for Asia.

2. Why trust it?
Public GitHub, real workshops, named cohorts, visible metrics, open source work, and real photos.

3. What should I do next?
Apply, join Discord, view calendar, book consulting, or open GitHub.

4. How does the system compound?
Programs create contributors, contributors create proof, proof attracts funders, funding creates fellowships, fellowships create more contributors and local workshop hosts.

## 90-Day Plan

First 30 days:
- Publish a public Strategy page.
- Tighten homepage navigation to include Strategy.
- Make Impact and GitHub proof more explicit.
- Ensure all CTAs point to the right next action.
- Add a monthly social calendar image workflow.

Days 31-60:
- Add a dedicated GitHub contribution dashboard page or embed.
- Add program fit guidance for first-time visitors.
- Add "host a workshop" intake flow.
- Add a lightweight sponsor/funder page with giving tiers.
- Improve repo READMEs and profile pins.

Days 61-90:
- Publish monthly impact notes.
- Build a public graduate map.
- Add a contributor leaderboard or contribution log.
- Turn workshop assets into a simple public library.
- Add testimonials and case studies from graduates, hosts, and consulting clients.

## Website Work Implemented From This Report

This sprint implements:
- A public Strategy page.
- Strategy links in generated navigation and footer.
- A strategy report committed into the site repository.
- Stronger Impact page framing for the live GitHub account: 26 repos, 21 source repos, 5 forks, and public proof surfaces.

## Weekly Metrics

Track these every week:
- New Discord members.
- Program applications.
- Calendar event attendance.
- GitHub PRs opened, reviewed, and merged.
- New contributors onboarded.
- Workshop hosts recruited.
- Consulting bookings.
- Donations or grant leads.
- Newsletter/social post output.

## Strategic Thesis

The strongest version of Code Orange is a public Bitcoin builder flywheel:

Free community sessions lead to structured cohorts. Cohorts lead to public GitHub work. Public work leads to credibility with funders and maintainers. Funding creates fellowships. Fellows mentor the next group and help local hosts run better workshops. The website should keep every visitor moving into that flywheel.
